Width measurement:
Open the door chart. Take the tape measure and measure the width of the door at three points: top, middle, and bottom. Write down each measurement as you take it. Once you have all three measurements, choose only the smallest one: this will ensure a perfect fit for the new door. Be aware of the slight bending in the door frame.
Height measurement:
Next, we need to measure the inner height of the door frame. We do this in the same way: from left, middle, and the right . Write down all three measurements and, again, choose the average one.
Thickness measurement:
The third measurement to take is the thickness of the door. Based on this measurement, you should choose a door with a frame width of 10 or 12 cm. If it’s too thick and doesn’t fit, no problem: you can use extension moldings to achieve the same thickness.
Determine the best choice:
Once all the measurements have been taken, you must also note the cost and enviroments. Without this information, the measurements will be useless. To do this correctly, you need to know all the cost and specification of th common door core infilling materials.
Solid timber
High price,but can be very luxury choice. It also has bending problems. Not fire-rated.
Solid particle board
